Capturing the Magic: Sarah and Ryan's Genuine Love Story Engagement in Madison

I had the honor of capturing the most genuine love between Sarah and Ryan. I’ve ventured to Madison with Claudia to pamper Sarah for her engagement session. We were so excited to spend some time with Sarah before her session and we all chatted nonstop.

The best part about spending time with a couple outside of a session is truly getting to know them and they’re personalities. Sarah Sarah and Ryan balance each other perfectly with their personalities and presence. I knew the minute that I met Sarah that I would love spending time with them and this session proved me right.

Henry Vilas Park and Orland Park Boat Launch session

We started the session at Sarah and Ryan‘s home with a few photos with Stacy. We ventured to the green space across from their house to let Stacy run around and get her Zumiez out before taking a few photos as a family. As much as we didn’t want to leave Stacy behind, we knew that her playfulness would be wild. Our first location was Henry vilas Park in Madison. The park has a number of little palms, paths, bridges, and sits on a small lake in the area. It’s truly a magical little spot that you could wander for hours. Sarah Ryan Claudia and myself wandered to a nearby bridge that Sarah remembered its beauty from visiting the park in the past. We spent time playing, laughing, and even had a good titanic moment. I realized quickly that Sarah and Ryan need a little direction as their love it literally just plays out in front of the camera. It’s my favorite type of couple to encounter as we look for people to be truly themselves and then we just capture that love.

Madison engagement session love story

Our next spot was somewhere very special to Sarah and Ryan, at Orland Park. The park is where Ryan and Sarah had their first date. It was during the pandemic so Sarah and Ryan try to be cautious and respectful of one another and decided to go for a walk outside at a fair distance. This quick walk turned into two hours of walking and conversation and the connection was immediate. Sarah and Ryan brought us to their favorite spot in the park, which was a big grassy opening that was surrounded by trees and wildlife. A fewPiggyback rides later if we venture to the front of the park to continue the celebration with a bottle of champagne. The sun was so Chloe and warm and it was the perfect ending to our time at the park.

Meaningful locations in Madison for engagement photos

Before we left we made a quick stop to the boat launch and spend some time out on the dock. The water was calm, the city was in the background, and the sky was full of pastel colors. Sarah and Ryan spent a few moments sharing what they are most excited for on their wedding day to one another. Between the laughter the love and the hugs before we knew it the session was over. The sun headset and the joy it was overflowing. Sarah and Ryan thanked us endlessly for making the session so easy and fun, and for traveling to their city. It’s the place they fall in love and the place they have their little family. There is nothing better than meeting a couple, learning about them and their journey, and exploring places that are so meaningful to them while being able to capture every moment of it. Sarah and Ryan’s love is truly something magical. My heart is full thinking of the moments they had at their engagement session, and excited is an understatement for how I feel about their wedding day.

Cheers to Sarah and Ryan (and Stacy)!
