Capturing the love story of James and Sabrina during their engagement session was an absolute delight. From their charming first date to a magical New Year's proposal, their journey is filled with heartfelt moments. As an engagement photographer, I had the pleasure of photographing their sweet interactions, playful energy, and the unique elements they brought to their session, making it an unforgettable experience.
The First Date: A Surprise for Sabrina
James asked Sabrina out to lunch and then invited her to hang out at his house. Sabrina had no idea it was an actual date until James made his move. They still joke about it because James thinks it was obvious, but Sabrina was genuinely surprised.
The Engagement Story: A New Year's Proposal
James and Sabrina's engagement story is filled with love and laughter. They were celebrating Sabrina's birthday and New Year’s at her parents' house, surrounded by family and friends. At midnight, while everyone was caught up in the moment, Sabrina took a second to notice that James had gotten down on one knee. He expressed his love and asked her to marry him in an intimate setting. It was a magical moment for both of them.
Including the Pups: Dutch and Duke
Their engagement session wouldn't have been complete without their beloved dogs, Dutch and Duke. These pups brought a sweet energy to the session, clearly showing how much they love their mom and dad. Sabrina and James wisely brought their moms along to help with puppy wrangling, allowing them to focus on each other and the photos.
Starting at Fonferek Glen
We began their engagement session at Fonferek Glen. It was a beautiful day, and the natural scenery provided the perfect backdrop for their photos. Sabrina and James shared their excitement about their upcoming wedding at Stone Prairie, a newer venue to the area. They discussed the various ways they are personalizing their big day, making it uniquely theirs.
Romantic Moments at UWGB
Next, we headed to UWGB for some photos by the water. Sabrina and James wanted a romantic, emotional feel to their photos, and the picturesque location delivered just that. We also included some shots with James's souped-up car, adding a personal touch to the session.
Celebrating with Cake and Champagne
Sabrina and James brought out a cake and champagne for their engagement session. We love when couples incorporate celebratory elements like these because an engagement session is a celebration, after all. They popped the bottle of bubbly, reserved some to sip on, and then had a fun champagne spray shower.
A Perfectly Sunny Day
It was a sunny day, and Fonferek Glen proved to be the ideal dog-friendly location for this session. We love shooting there because it allows couples to include their furry family members without any hassle.
