Jen + Eric's Rustic Chic Summer Wedding at Vickery Village (with a touch of rain)

Jen and Eric's wedding day was a long-awaited event after being together for 11 years and being engaged for about three. They had always envisioned a rustic-chic vibe for their big day and found their dream venue in Vickery Village. Luckily, our studio is located in the village, so when Jen saw that we were nearby, she wanted to work with us to capture her laid-back wedding day.

On the day of the wedding, Eric was calm and collected while Jen was thrilled that her special day had finally arrived. They had a lot of personal touches that they brought into their details, including nods to Star Trek. Jen shared a first look with her dad, which was emotional and touching, while Eric had a first look with his mom, who was overjoyed for her son.

Although there was a threat of rain on the day, it started to pour just as the ceremony was ending. Fortunately, they were able to take cover under the gazebo at Vickery Village, where they had their ceremony. Jen and Eric embraced the situation and took some incredible photos with the rain pelting down around them.

Despite the rain, Jen and Eric were determined to make the most of their day and get some beautiful photos. We took advantage of the charming village setting and captured some incredible moments of the couple, including using an old car that Vickery Village had brought out for the occasion, which Eric was very excited for.

After some photos, the couple were able to mingle with their guests before dinner and then sitting down to enjoy some delicious food from Chives Catering. The beautiful floral arrangements and delightful desserts, including some rolled cakes that were out-of-this-world delicious, made the evening even more memorable.

As the sun began to set, Jen and Eric slipped away for some golden hour photos, which Jen had been looking forward to since the start of planning. They also had some fun recreating photos before sharing their first dance as a married couple. Jen had an emotional dance with her dad, and Eric had a chance to dance with his mom, both of which were incredibly touching moments. The couple also danced with their children, which was a memory they will cherish forever.

As the evening came to a close, the couple ended their photo coverage with some sparkler photos outside the venue. It was the perfect end to a magical day that they had planned for years. We were honored to capture Jen and Eric's wedding and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together.

Much love and appreciation,

Kate
