Why I Became A Photographer | Wisconsin Wedding, Elopement, and Engagement Photographer
People often ask me how my photography journey started, but I don't think it can be pinpointed to one specific moment. Perhaps it was growing up in my childhood home, looking at the big, beautiful black and white Ansel Adams landscape prints on our walls. Or maybe it was when I was gifted a camera for Christmas and went through a whole roll of film that night. Or maybe it was when I was in college and I had completed the Intro to Photography course, but I wasn't sure if it was for me until the professor who taught the remaining black and white and digital photography courses convinced me that I had found my home.
Thornberry Creek Fall Wedding: Erin + Dave Say I Do!
On a perfect day for a fall wedding, Erin and Dave got ready to say I do. Erin had her maid of honor, her mom, and her grandma surrounding her. Before the ceremony, we tried to take photos with Erin’s kitty, but Luna was not having it! Instead, Erin’s supportive group of women helped her into her beautiful, long-sleeved dress from David’s Bridal. A-line shaped, with some vine and floral detail, the dress looked stunning on Erin, its light blush tone accenting her gorgeous red hair. Erin admitted she was a little nervous as her favorite ladies whisked her out of the house for the ceremony!
Joanna + Derek's Fall Wedding in Green Bay, Wisconsin
It was a perfect autumn day as Joanna and Derek prepared for their big day. Full of jitters and excitement, Joanna stood at the very top of the stairway, while Derek stood at the bottom to partake in their first “not look” before the ceremony. Joanna beamed, asking, “How are you? Are you okay? I love you, I miss you!” making sure Derek was supported. Derek brings out the most beautiful smile to Joanna’s face, the one where her nose wrinkles and her eyes light up. The love and consideration Joanna and Derek have for each other radiates pure, joyful love. After their first “not look,” they were practically shaking with happiness, and crying a bit as Joanna and Derek were whisked off to walk down the aisle.
Green Bay Rock Garden Wedding: Stephanie + David Say I Do!
The weather was perfect for Stephanie and David’s Japanese influenced wedding. Stephanie and her mom carefully created many handmade touches to reflect Stephanie and David’s love for Studio Ghibli and Japanese culture. The ceremony at Rock Garden’s Comfort Courtyard highlighted the importance of family, as Stephanie and David said I do. To spread the love and support, Stephanie and David picked the perfect people to share this special day in their lives; the wedding party was so much fun and everyone had a blast!
Oshkosh Summer Wedding: Amber + AJ Say I Do!
On a warm summer day, Amber and AJ’s closest friends and family gathered at a park in Winneconne to witness them say I do. The sun shone brightly on the water and the beautiful wedding party as they walked down the aisle. Sharing a moment before being whisked down the aisle, Amber’s dad cried as he took his first look at his beautiful daughter. Walking through rows of family and friends, AJ and all the guests cried tears of joy as they saw Amber in her stunning gown, laced up in the back by a rainbow ribbon. AJ’s mom spoke eloquently about love and marriage. It was a breathtaking and emotional ceremony to start a day full of celebration.

Wedding Tips: Working with a Day-of Coordinator
We’re all familiar with Wedding Planners and the full-planning services that they provide, but what happens when a couple enjoys the planning process and wants to do it themselves? A Day-of Wedding Coordinator happens.
I work with a TON of wedding vendors throughout the year, and I've hand-selected the vendors I feature on my Preferred Vendor list.

Wedding Tips: Ideas for a Wedding Guest Book
Let’s talk about guestbooks. Most weddings have a guestbook. But what actually ends up happening to it after the wedding? It gets stuffed on a shelf or in a closet and you pull it out once every five years when you get back around to cleaning that corner of the house. It takes up space and rarely gets looked at, but you want to have something to remember your guests by. So, we’ve compiled a list of alternative guest books that you’ll want to keep out and see every day.
Engagement photo books– Put those photos to some extra use! Create a book full of your favorite engagement photos (be sure to leave some space on each page for signing).
