Thornberry Creek Fall Wedding: Erin + Dave Say I Do!

On a perfect day for a fall wedding, Erin and Dave got ready to say I do. Erin had her maid of honor, her mom, and her grandma surrounding her. Before the ceremony, we tried to take photos with Erin’s kitty, but Luna was not having it! Instead, Erin’s supportive group of women helped her into her beautiful, long-sleeved dress from David’s Bridal. A-line shaped, with some vine and floral detail, the dress looked stunning on Erin, its light blush tone accenting her gorgeous red hair. Erin admitted she was a little nervous as her favorite ladies whisked her out of the house for the ceremony! KLEM Studio’s second shooter of the day, Stephanie, took shots with the best groomsmen ever! Dave and his team of men were full of fun, down to earth, and total jokesters.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Erin and Dave’s ceremony at Thornberry Creek at Oneida Golf Course was an emotional and beautiful experience. Erin’s dad had passed away a few years ago, he was in their thoughts during their wedding. Tears were shed in love and excitement for the future as Erin and Dave shared their vows with one another. Dave’s sister pronounced them husband and wife, and Erin and Dave happily and eagerly went in for the kiss! They were so thrilled to be husband and wife, and their wedding party and guests cheered.

Taking some precious time out of their wedding day to spend quietly together, Erin and Dave snuck outside and onto the golf course path for some gorgeous sunset photos. Wedding day festivities can be overwhelming with photos being taken and all of the guests wanting to talk. We really celebrate that time with just the bride and groom while they take a deep breath, snuggle a bit, and simply be with one another on their wedding day. Alone for awhile, Erin and Dave were grateful to celebrate this milestone in their life and take some pictures to cherish this moment forever.

We went back inside, and during dinner, every single one of Dave’s groomsmen shared a speech and toasted Dave’s light of positivity. Even if they were having the worst day of their lives, Dave always turned it around. The groomsmen talked about how Erin and Dave are both incredibly kind souls who are made for each other. They can truly be themselves around one another, which is such a beautiful gift. Following those heartwarming words, Dave shared a story he had been holding from Erin for quite some time: He described a memory of Erin, her parents, and himself at the county fair. As Erin danced with her mom, Dave stood watching with Erin’s dad. Grateful to be sharing that moment with Erin’s dad, Dave revealed it to be the exact moment he knew he was going to marry Erin.

After that touching story, everyone enjoyed delicious mini cupcakes from Cupcake Couture, and then shed more tears as the evening shifted into their first dances. As they swayed in each other’s arms for their first dance, the teary-eyed onlookers got a glimpse of what Erin and Dave’s future would hold: lots of love, trust, and respect for the person whose eyes they were gazing into. Erin danced with her mom, and Dave danced with his mom. It was such a beautiful sight to have people come together to celebrate these two. Erin and Dave partied well into the evening, grateful they found each other, and overwhelmed with joy that they could share their journey with friends and family.

Erin and Dave, you have such an amazing future ahead of you. May you always face life’s challenges hand-in-hand, and know that you have the support of a loving, supportive partner by your side. Thank you for choosing me to help share your love story and document everything that makes you two amazing.

Much love and appreciation,

Kate
