Mother nature had saved up her energy and waited to release an explosion of color for Charlotte and Jeremy‘s wedding day. The first weekend in October proved to be stunning, crisp, and just slightly overcast; it was the perfect fall day for Charlotte and Jeremy to say “I do.”

As the ladies begin to dress at Green Bay Botanical Gardens, Charlotte left and admitted she was a little nervous. She was helped into her stunning Mori Lee gown by her mom and sisters. Flanked on each side by her favorite ladies, the girls clutched their stunning fall bouquets and escorted Charlotte to the beautiful garden ceremony site where the incredible couple would say I do.

Mairee quietly adjusted her jewelry in the dressing room mirror, gently tweaking and primping her dress as she nervously waited for her cue to walk down the aisle. Her father's steady arm guided her down the aisle toward the love of her life. Ryan couldn't take his eyes off his bride. She was simply stunning. Her Converse -clad feet gently padded down the aisle as she met her groom at the altar. Mairee and Ryan's ceremony at the Bridal Chapel was intimate, heartfelt, and personal. American Sign Language interpreters assisted with the ceremony and wedding day festivities for their hearing-impaired loved ones, a cause near and dear to Mairee and Ryan's hearts.

It’s such a beautiful thing when a bride wakes up on her wedding day, calm and collected, excited but relaxed, ready to embrace the day ahead of her. She’s contented and ready because she’s about to experience one of the best days of her life, and at the end of the day, she’ll be married to her best friend and better half. Andrea was one of these stunning, laid-back ladies. There was a soothing energy hum at her sister-in-laws home as the girls got ready. As Andrea sashayed in her wedding dress, her bridesmaids let out a collective sigh.

Of all the qualities to look for in the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with, I think that finding someone who makes you laugh is incredibly important. Being able to laugh through the good times and bad makes life more enjoyable and endurable. Sammie and Kyle definitely struck gold in this department. These two are constantly laughing around each other, and it’s incredibly infectious.

Meet Angie, the floral wizard at Ginger Birch. Angie says she’s always had a passion for design. Colors, textures, and working with different elements bring her joy. In her words, “It doesn't get much better for me than meeting with my clients, discussing their visions and then  bring them to life! It's such an honor! I may have even cried a couple happy tears here and there when a vision comes to life!”

I've been working on another secret project, and I think this is the best one yet. I am so stinkin' thrilled to announce the launch of the KLEM Studios Associate Wedding Photographer Program! Meet Milena, the event coordinator/dog-mom/beer-lover extraordinaire at Badger State Brewing Company. Focusing mainly on weddings, Milena has what in my eyes would be the “dream job”: she gets to work with wedding couples in an incredible venue and establishment that brews some of the best beer in the city, all in the shadows of Lambeau Field. Does it get dreamier than that?? With the recent launch of their event space, I wanted to sit down with Milena and chat about the first few years of event planning and what makes hosting your wedding at Badger State so unique.

I always forget about the guest favors. Before a wedding, I’m thinking about how I can’t wait to see her dress or if the groom will cry. I can’t wait to watch these people promise themselves to each other. Then I get to the reception and it’s all, “OOO, look, presents!" 

Did you know that in a past life, long ago, I spent about a year working in an office as the assistant to a financial advisor? While I didn't follow that career path, I learned so much about life finances that I never expected.

You know the gist of how your wedding day is going to go. Bride walks down the isle, possibly guided by her father. Vows are exchanged, a reading or two thrown into the mix, then they kiss and walk back down the aisle as husband and wife. 

If I ever have an opening in my calendar and a photographer friend is looking for a second shooter, I jump at the chance. Morgan of Morgan Lynne Photography was in need of a second shooter for a gorgeous October wedding, and I was immediately on board!

Brandi glided out into the American Club courtyard, tiptoeing up behind Josh in her stunning red high-low wedding gown. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned to see his beautiful bride-to-be. They spent a few quiet moments alone together in the courtyard dotted with snow on that chilly Valentine's Day afternoon.

The girls laughed in the brightly colored church prep room, each taking turns applying Brooke's makeup and styling her hair. Brooke and Adam's wedding at their church in Green Bay was an intimate affair.

In my opinion, one of the best tools you can have for your wedding day is a detailed, well thought-out timeline. All brides take on a new level of beauty on their wedding day. Few are as fiercely radiant as Kelsey was in her stunning lace wedding dress with its illusion back and perfectly placed beading. For me, it was the train that stole the show and stole my heart. Long, flowing, and just kissing the ground as Kelsey walked, it was a dream to photograph. And let us not forget the handsome groom, the other half of this fantastic couple. Peter could not stop smiling or looking at his new wife. Craft beer in hand at Titletown Brewing Company, with his dapper suit and tie, he was relaxed and sophisticated. 

The morning was hazy and warm. Birds sang in the trees surrounding Sam's parents' home, and cicadas chirped out of sight. Rows of empty white chairs were lined up facing a gigantic hydrangea bush bursting with bountiful white blooms. The stage was quietly set for the afternoon outdoor wedding ceremony.

The sun rose lazily in the August morning sky, rays beating down on the corn fields near Green Bay. Stacie excitedly prepared for her wedding day in the basement of St. Joseph's church.

For nine years, Bill and Brenton dreamt about their wedding day. Until recently, these two handsome grooms didn't know if that dream would ever become a reality. July twenty-fifth was a gloriously sunny day filled with promise and love. There was a sense of reverence in the air.  A soft breeze made the wildflowers dance and songs with sweet operatic vibrato filled the courtyard at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

On the south side of Kewaunee, Wisconsin, a quaint Victorian house is nested amongst the residential homes. The Hollyhock House blooms with possibility amongst the roses, hostas, and other plants that decorate the property. This place is special to us because next fall, my fiancé and I will be saying our eternal vows in the gardens of The Hollyhock House.
