Green Bay Wedding Vendor Love: Ginger Birch Floral

Meet Angie, the floral wizard at Ginger Birch. Angie says she’s always had a passion for design. Colors, textures, and working with different elements bring her joy. In her words, “It doesn't get much better for me than meeting with my clients, discussing their visions and then  bring them to life! It's such an honor! I may have even cried a couple happy tears here and there when a vision comes to life!” I’ve been blown away by the amount of heart and soul Angie puts into her designs, and the depth she’s able to pull out of a client’s simple (or elaborate) vision. I recently had the chance to chat with her about what sets Ginger Birch apart from other floral designers in the Green Bay area.

What areas do you consider yourself most successful in helping your wedding clients?

I am a pro at identifying the look my clients are going for. So many couple say they don’t have a style. BOLOGNA! Everyone has a style and I’ll find it!

If you could give any advice to wedding planning couples, what would it be?

Relax and enjoy! It’s supposed to be fun!

What makes your service unique?

I take immense joy in what I do! My kids know when it’s flower day because I shriek as I open boxes. The smells, colors, textures–they blow my mind every time. I have a kid-like enthusiasm for this work and I’m always looking at new ways for how to showcase the beauties I get to work with.

How many years have you been providing services to wedding clients?

I’ve been lucky enough to be in the floral industry for over 10 years.

How many wedding clients do you take on each year? Do you take on other clients as well?

Depends on the year! I like to maintain a very personal connection with my clients so I do limit my bookings as needed.

What type of wedding client will be happiest with the services you provide?

My clients tend to put a lot of faith and trust in me. I love to have the freedom to give them a little surprise. Sometimes I head to the market and anemones are just off-the-wall gorgeous that day and need to be added to the arrangements.

What are some of your favorite wedding details to work with? What are some of your favorite, unique items/ideas you've seen couples bring into their wedding day/wedding planning?

I’m a huge fan of making your wedding personal! During consults I ask about your love story, your interests, pets, favorite books and music... because all those things give me a better idea of who you are and how we can express that through your florals.

What is the price range of your services?

All my services are priced on a custom basis.

How far in advance do you recommend couples book your services? Are you available on short notice?

I do book quickly so the sooner the better but I do work well under pressure. ;)

What do you think is most important for wedding planning couples to consider when they are researching vendors in your field of services?

To find someone they feel comfortable with. If someone isn’t understanding your vision, move on.

What do you think is potentially the most stressful part of wedding planning? Do you have any tips on how to avoid this or get through this easily?

Listening to what everyone else is telling you. Prioritize what is important to you as a couple and go from there!

When you're not working, what are some of your favorite hobbies or past-times?

Right now I am really into watercolor painting. I’m also an avid reader, and can throw down in the kitchen. I don’t like to brag but I’m a professional bath taker as well. And, well, the rest of my time is spent wrangling my three sons, two dogs and two cats!

Is there any other information you would like researching wedding couples to know?

Just breathe... in the end you’re married and that’s what matters!
