Lauren + Evan's Winter Wonderland Engagment Session at High Cliff State Park

Lauren and Evan's engagement session was nothing short of a winter wonderland dream come true. As we were brainstorming ideas for their session, Lauren had a clear vision of wanting a winter engagement shoot that was joyful, playful, and sweet. With this vision in mind, we set out to plan the perfect shoot that would capture their love and personalities in the most authentic way possible.

We decided to begin the session at High Cliff State Park, which was conveniently located near the Appleton area. The picturesque cliffs at the park were the perfect backdrop for their photos, and with the fresh snowfall from a few days prior, the scenery was nothing short of breathtaking. Lauren and Evan started off the shoot in more formal outfits, which is a classic choice that most of our couples go for. Lauren wore a flowy purple dress with a white fur shawl, while Evan looked sharp in a black suit and white shirt. Their adorable pup Aurora also came along for the adventure, and we spent some time capturing some playful moments with her in the snow.

The snow-covered cliffs made for some truly beautiful and understated photos that perfectly captured the essence of winter. Lauren and Evan were both so comfortable in front of the camera and their love for each other shone through in each photo. Their chemistry was effortless, and they had so much fun together throughout the shoot.

After the cliffs, we ventured to a different area of the park to get some shots in an open field with a golden hue. Lauren and Evan changed into more casual and cozy outfits, and we had a blast capturing them in piggyback rides, holding hands, and lots of snuggles. The whole time at High Cliff felt like a dream, and Lauren and Evan's love for each other made it so easy to photograph them.

After the park, we went back to Lauren and Evan's house for a few cozy photos in their humble abode. Aurora stayed behind, and we headed to the downtown area of Appleton for the final stop of the session. Lauren and Evan changed outfits again to a more formal yet casual, cozy chic look, and we visited some local landmarks in the area. We even took some playful photos in the middle of the road to capture that perfect city vibe.

Throughout the entire session, it was truly an honor to spend time with Lauren and Evan. Their kindred souls and loving personalities made them a joy to work with, and we felt an instant connection with them. They are the type of couple that reminds us of why we do what we do and the dream couples we have the honor of working with.

As the session came to a close, Lauren and Evan went off to enjoy a delicious dinner, and we parted ways. But we left feeling so excited to capture their magical and loving wedding day at Poplar Hall next year. It's going to be a day full of love, joy, and memories that will last a lifetime. We can already feel it.

Much love & appreciation,

Kimmy
