Emily + Josh's Spring Wedding at Vickery Village in Suamico, WI

May in Wisconsin often brings to mind daffodils and tulips in bloom, and mild temperatures that make everyone excited for summer. What we don’t often picture is 85° days that leave poor wedding parties sweating their bottoms off! Emily and Josh’s wedding day in Vickery Village was incredibly warm, gloriously sunny, and filled with sweet moments.

Emily and Josh surrounded themselves with such kind wedding party attendants. Josh and his groomsmen got ready in the air-conditioned safety of our studio in Vickery Village, while Emily and the girls got ready in the bridal suite on site.

Emily was absolutely stunning; the sight of her brought many people to tears as she shared first looks with her bridesmaids, stepmom, and her dad. The spring color palette they chose was perfectly displayed through their light blue and light purple bridesmaids’ dresses, and through the whimsical florals, Ginger Birch created.

Of course, when Josh saw Emily for the first time when she was walking down the aisle, he wept happy tears as well. They shared handwritten vows during their ceremony before they were pronounced husband and wife. We took advantage of the numerous picturesque spots in the village for the family photos, wedding party photos, and couples photos.

Everyone was very eager to head into the event pavilion to dig into some classic cookout foods provided by Chives. Emily wowed her guests even more by debuting her dress change before the reception. Many family members and friends shared their well wishes and celebrations with Emily and Josh during dinner–they may have set the record for the number of speeches I’ve seen at a wedding!

It just goes to show how loved this couple is. After cutting a fabulous cake from Cupcake Couture, the couple and I snuck away for some quick sunset photos and a moment for the two of them to escape together. They returned to the party, ready to share their first dance. Emily and her dad shared one of the most unique Father-Daughter dances I’ve seen, busting a move to the Cha Cha Slide!

Emily and Josh are so great together, it was such an honor to have been able to photograph their special day. The whole KLEM Studios team wishes them a lifetime of happiness, friendship, and joy.

Much love and appreciation,

Kate
