Lindsey + Dani's Classic Spring Wedding at Northern Haus in Door County, WI
A beautiful spring wedding with the sweetest couple at one of our favorite venues, yes please!
We began Lindsey & Dani’s day at Northern Haus, capturing photos of the details they curated for their big day. For Dani, that was his custom cufflinks, watch, and boutonniere. His cufflinks were custom engraved, a gift from Lindsey, with their pup on one side and their cat on the other. It was so thoughtful and unique, and Dani loved it. Getting Lindsey into her dress was nothing short of magical. Her dress had ornate sleeves and the underlay had the perfect amount of sparkle, it was fit for a princess. Her dress paired with her stunning hairpiece and jewelry was chef’s kiss. And just like that, Lindsey and Dani were ready to share their first look with one another.
We’ve seen our fair share of first looks, but this one brought tears to all of our eyes. Dani’s immediate reaction was pure love followed by “you’re so beautiful.” Lindsey & Dani wrote each other letters and took a few moments to soak in the love they share for each other before whisking away to the church.
The ceremony was at Stella Maris church in Baileys Harbor. With all of their closest friends and family filling the church, Lindsey & Dani shared their vows with one another. You could feel the love they share with one another and the love that families have for them. Outside of the church made for the most stunning backdrop for family photos complete with beautiful stone and crawling ivy. Then Dani chauffeured Lindsey back to Northern Haus.
The rain was on and off throughout the day (it’s good luck, right?) and we had the perfect amount of time outside for group photos and a few moments alone for Lindsey and Dani. They loved the look of the venue in the distance and we made sure to capture that stunning view of a newly married couple on the Northern Haus horizon.
Lindsey and Dani are the perfect complements to one another. They describe themselves as Dani being the goofball, extrovert and Lindsey being the reasonable, introvert. They balance each other’s energies with ease and it was such an honor to see their relationship amongst their people.
When we first spoke with Lindsey + Dani about their wedding day, they envisioned their day as a celebration for their love that their families would be brought together for. Simply stated and the day was simply beautiful. Each family had contagious smiles all day. Door County means so much to Lindsey and Dani as they’ve spent many weekends there, so they were so thrilled to make it back there since moving to Cincinnati. The mean and their loving adventure continues to make memories and grow in that special place. Cheers to two beautiful souls!
