Badger State Brewing Wedding: Courtney + Adam Say I Do!
On an overcast and misty morning, Courtney and Adam prepared for their Friday winter wedding. Courtney’s close friends helped her get ready and put on her stunning gown, while Adam’s close friends from college, brothers, and soon to be brother-in-law pumped up for the special celebration. Family members and friends gathered at Life Church in Green Bay, eagerly awaiting the ceremony.
Courtney and Adam have an amazing love story, getting out of their comfort zones to meet each other and take a chance. Adam asked Courtney out on their first date for a few drinks with him and his friends, which Courtney was initially very nervous about! But when Courtney saw him at the bar, she was immediately taken in with how warm he was and how it all just seemed to click. Courtney was introduced to all of Adam’s friends, and the chemistry between them flew off the charts as the night progressed. Adam knew after the first time he met Courtney, that she was the one. He threw her right into meeting his group of friends from day one, and Adam was impressed by the way Courtney fit in immediately. It was the start of a fantastic journey.
Both rooted in family values and of course loyalty to the Packers (GO Pack GO!), it is no surprise that Courtney and Adam are not only unique in their own individual sense, but also very loyal to each other within the co-dependent life that they have built for their relationship. They love going up north with their five-month old Australian cattle dog/Boston terrier mix, Molly, and snuggling up with some vanilla ice cream (don’t forget the chocolate syrup!) and a movie. It is clear Courtney and Adam love each other deeply and always have each other’s back.
Surrounded by supportive people in their life (and a past KLEM couple who stood up for Courtney and Adam!), the ceremony was full of gorgeous wintry touches and décor. Courtney was a little nervous but also excited, and balanced the jitters and emotions well, even with a very beautiful and emotional first look with her dad. Then we ushered the bridesmaids in their beautiful gray gowns with touches of lace and plaid shawls to the ceremony.
Adam was overcome with emotion when he saw Courtney walk down the aisle with her dad. They were so excited, and both shed happy tears during their wonderful winter ceremony. Their unity ritual was symbolic of the strong life Courtney and Adam are creating together. “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves; a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” This Bible verse was beautifully interwoven into their union.
After the ceremony, and a very loving kiss, Courtney, Adam, and their wedding party arrived in the Titletown district to take photos. They reminisced about their engagement at Lambeau Field, and the ultimate Packer proposal about a year ago. They went back to where this chapter of their life started to recreate some of the magic and love (that I was there for!). The bridal photos were short and sweet because it was a chilly afternoon! To warm up a bit, Hinterland Brewery was gracious enough to let us take a few photos inside.
Courtney and Adam snuggled up and kept each other warm while we did their portraits in the Titletown District and at Hinterland. Both bubbled with excitement for their cocktail hour and reception at Badger State Brewing, anxious to be able to hang out with their family and just say hi to all of their guests who had traveled from near and far to be with them. Adam and Courtney were able to cherish their journey alone for a bit, soaking in the moment. Taking photos together, Courtney and Adam couldn’t help but look at their exciting future as well, full of football and raising a family.
Joining friends and family at Badger State Brewing, the wintry theme continued with simple greenery and pinecones to accent the gorgeous venue. Fortunately, it didn’t start snowing until the reception was well underway, and even then, the snow was beautiful, with fluffy flakes perfect for their themed celebration. Dinner was delicious, and the maid of honor and two best men shared thoughtful, moving speeches that spoke to what an amazing couple Courtney and Adam are.
Talking softly and smiling at one another, Courtney and Adam’s first dance kicked off the party, and the love between them was palpable. While Courtney danced with her dad, and Adam with his mom, a number of nieces and nephews ran around them, enjoying the dance floor. After spotlight dances, everyone joined to bust a move and keep the party going with music, family, and drinks. Courtney and Adam created a joyous, beautiful, and celebratory event with lots of energy for their wedding day.
I am so grateful to witness the love between Courtney and Adam—thank you for allowing me to photograph your amazing day. We wish you many legendary Packer games, smiles, and love.
Much love and appreciation,
Kate
This beautiful wedding wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of these amazing vendors:

P.S. Do you LOVE the scarves Courtney’s bridesmaids were wearing as much as I do?? I’m a sucker for fall and winter scarves, and these blanket scarves from Bess Bridal are some of my favorites; check out all the color options, too!! —>
