Vickery Village Wedding Styled Shoot
When a new wedding venue comes to town, it is important for the venue to create wedding images that show off the space even before there is a real wedding in the books. This allows inquiring couples to envision their wedding in that space and see what a wedding setup might look like. A stylized shoot is also a fantastic opportunity for a practice wedding-day-run for new owners to work out the kinks in a calm and fun environment. Even for well-known venues, organized photo sessions are a great way to update photos if changes have been made.
In this case, we had the chance to celebrate the grand opening of the Vickery Village Venue! This space is special to me because my studio is located in Vickery Village, and I loved having the opportunity to make some magic in a venue just a few steps away from where I set up shop. Before Vickery Village Venue’s first wedding season officially kicks off, the venue intentionally brought together all of the vendors in our village community, and welcomed us on-site for a beautiful fall stylized shoot.
Vickery Village stands apart from other wedding venues in the Green Bay area because everything was created with a one-stop shop convenience in mind. Couples have everything they need, right in one area. Our location has the event venue with ceremony and reception areas right next to me as a photographer, a florist, makeup and hair specialist, and even catering. Wedding clients booking with Vickery Village are not required to book with everyone here, but this amazing community of professionals is a fantastic combination of knowledge, creativity, and beauty right at the client’s fingertips.
We planned this mock-up fall wedding to have a modern and clean vibe. Vickery Village’s Ginger Birch designed amazing floral arrangements full of greenery and autumn tones and textures. Gold accents complemented the concrete, industrial-chic atmosphere of the venue itself, highlighting Vickery Village’s beautiful open-sided white pavilion. Rosey Oak provided signage and other décor that matched the theme perfectly with Jenna Kast’s gorgeous invitations.
Opening a new wedding venue in Suamico, Wisconsin might pose some weather challenges, but Vickery Village has amazing plans in store to update this year and extend the wedding season a little bit later into the fall, and even a bit earlier in the spring. Our stylized shoot showcased how dynamic this space is; offering couples with on-site ceremony locations and a reception space. Clients can say I do in one of three different ceremony sites: in the beautiful gazebo and gardens, under the open pavilion, or inside the stylish Chives schoolhouse. Brides can pamper themselves and get ready for their big day in a gorgeous on-site bridal suite.
Not just available for weddings, Vickery Village offers tables and chairs for up to 250 guests in their dazzling wooded setting. Most weekends are reserved for weddings, but this is a chic venue to book for parties and other events. Brides and grooms who reserve this location have full access to the Village for their portraits, as well as complimentary champagne at the head table for toasts and speeches—who doesn’t love some bubbly when they are celebrating? Parking is also available on-site.
Chives, one of my favorite upscale restaurants in Green Bay, offers on-site catering and provided delicious spreads for our stylized shoot. KLEM Studio’s lead photographer, Krista, gaped over all the scrumptious desserts brought from Three Flower Bakes before posing as our officiant for our lovely bride and groom models. Makeup by Claudia made our bride model, Karissa, look naturally stunning as she posed for pictures, and her gorgeous hair, styled by Village Mane, elegantly withstood the fall breeze. Nick, our fabulous groom, looked dashing in his DuBois suit alongside Karissa, wearing a fabulous gown provided by Tie the Knot Bridal Boutique.
I felt honored to photograph this beautiful new venue with models up for anything and supportive vendors right here in Green Bay. It takes a village to pull off a successful stylized shoot in order to make a new wedding space shine and prosper in the industry. Seeing all of us come together to work our magic is proof of the support and artistry in our community and our enthusiasm to work with vendors who also want to provide the absolute best for their couples.
It was so fun to work with awesome vendors and make this vision come to life. This is going to be one of the hottest new wedding venues in Green Bay! I can’t wait to photograph more weddings here in the future. Check out the magic below!
