Taylor + Kaden's Vibrant Winter Wedding Reception in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin
Every once in a while in this career I have chosen, I witness magic. Moments where I know the universe has collaborated with two people to create something so beautiful, there is no other explanation except for magic being a foot. That’s what it’s like to witness Taylor and Kaden together. I know this to be true because I am not the only one that has noticed the magnitude of Taylor and Kaden’s love for one another.
Taylor and Kaden have a beautiful love story, made possible mostly because Kaden‘s brother brought this couple together after something had told him that he should connect the two of them. Taylor and Kaden fell for one another fairly quickly, both of them realizing in their own time that they were with the person they wanted to marry. When Kaden asked, Taylor excitedly said yes.
Taylor and Kaden both grew up in Door County, Wisconsin, which we got to explore with them for their engagement session, but their wedding plans took them farther than just the peninsula of Wisconsin. They held an intimate wedding ceremony in Fort Myers Beach, Florida on a perfectly sunny day that was emotional, celebratory, and incredible. A few months later, we got the chance to celebrate with Taylor and Kaden at their wedding reception at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
The newlyweds were so excited to have all their friends and family in one place. While their intimate wedding was everything they hoped it would be, they knew their wedding journey wouldn’t feel complete unless they got to celebrate with those nearest and dearest to them.
Taylor and Kaden had a super fun and unique vision for the reception. Taylor wore a red dress, Kaden donned an all white suit, and they asked that their guests wear white to the reception as well so that they could have an epic black light and glow stick party. Before the festivities kicked off, we got a chance to steal the couple away for some couples portraits at the Osthoff resort where they were staying and getting ready. It was a bitterly cold day, so we didn’t get to enjoy the grounds as much as we would’ve liked to, but Taylor and Kaden are such good sports and always have sunny disposition even when breathing better Wisconsin winter temperatures.
Road America holds a special place in Kaden’s heart, so he was thrilled that they had chosen this venue for their wedding reception. Not only were their guests dressed to the nines, but these people were ready to party and celebrate two of their favorite people. During the cocktail hour, Kaden‘s mom couldn’t help but whisper to me how thrilled she was that Taylor and Kaden found one another. She said she’s never seen anything like the love the two of them share, and I had to agree. Taylor and Kaden‘s relationship feels like a house of one soul that were living separately and then finally found one another again and now nothing can separate them.
After a delicious dinner, our master of ceremonies, Alton, of Soundfire DJ brought Taylor and Kaden out to the dance floor to share their first dance as their friends and family surrounded the edge of the dance floor. Maybe it was the way that Kaden would nuzzle his nose into the top of Taylor‘s head and smile, or maybe it was the way Taylor rested her cheek on Kaden‘s chest as if it was her favorite place in the world, but these two reminded all of us that true love absolutely exists in this world. Love is the most powerful force in the universe, and I have no doubt that Taylor and Kaden‘s legacy is going to be far more impactful than they could ever imagine.
Getting to work with these two was such an immense honor. From their sweet friends, to their adoring families, to the friendship of the lovebirds themselves, this was a wedding journey for the record books. Taylor and Kaden, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to work with us. We love you dearly and wish you a lifetime of continued adventure, happiness, and growth with your best friend. Cheers to you.
Much love and appreciation,
Kate
