Taylor + Jake's Greenery-filled Classic Wedding in Green Bay, Wisconsin

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Taylor for a while because we worked together at a restaurant and brewery in the area. So when she got engaged to Jake, we had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session which you can view here. While working together she shared with me her wedding plans. Finally, after months of planning and chatting back and forth, came their wedding day!

Taylor and Jake got married at Black Sheep Weddings and Events, which was only fitting because her mom and stepdad own the venue. Taylor had a very clear vision for the day which was expertly executed. It was very classy and elegant, with whites, blacks, pops of gold champagne, and green colors. It was so stunning, so modern, and in style!

As they were all getting ready there was a ton of excitement in the building and you could feel the energy. After getting dressed, Taylor did a first look with her bridesmaids, which had many of them in tears because she was just simply a vision.

Taylor and Jake opted to do a first look because they thought they would be a bundle of nerves and really wanted to see their person before the ceremony just to help calm those nerves. They were super excited and both could not stop smiling when Jake turned around and saw his beautiful, almost wife and Taylor was just grinning from ear to ear. They are just an incredibly sweet and fun couple that laugh so easily together.

They also did their family photos before the ceremony which allowed them to get the party started sooner after they said I do! We love when couples share what would feel best on their wedding day and we're able to come up with a timeline that really aligns with their vision. They also wanted photos before the ceremony with their pup, Odin who is a beautiful golden retriever. He even had his own flowers to celebrate the occasion, looking super dapper and adorable! He was just the goodest boy of course!

Taylor and Jake had a really beautiful ceremony in the outdoor space at Black Sheep. Even their dog, Odin walked down the aisle before Taylor’s entrance. After saying “I do” and their first kiss as husband and wife, Taylor and Jake walked down the aisle, their guests popped confetti streamers in celebration of the new couple, which we loved!

After the ceremony, we moved into wedding party photos. All of them were a vibe, and on point. They just made it so fun and joyous for Taylor and Jake. The girls even busted out some custom jean jackets that were so super cute! Taylor and Jacob spend a few quiet moments together as new husband and wife before descending upon the reception.

One of the decor pieces that we absolutely loved was a statement piece that Taylor made herself. It was filled with envelopes of different shades of green, and it was super impressive. They had a stunning head table set up with a custom neon sign. They also had a really fun grand introduction, followed by a number of heartfelt speeches especially Taylor's Mom, who gave a really beautiful touching speech. Then it was time for Taylor and Jake’s first dance as husband and wife before truly partying the night away.

When we chatted with Taylor and Jake at their reveal session, they recounted the night's stories. And from the sounds of it, it was a good time was had by all which we do not doubt for one second. For Taylor and Jake, we want to wish them a lifetime of adventure, laughter, and endless friendship! We look forward to staying friends and watching their life's journey unfold.

Much love and appreciation,

Kate
