Kate + Kimmy - A Divine Partnership

FRIENDS - WE ARE SO EXCITED!

The time has finally come for us to share what we’ve been working on over the last few months! Before we dig in, let’s go a little further back. Kate and I met almost a year ago through Rise Leadership Circle, a female forward community for entrepreneurs. The community is full of empowered women that are soulfully working on improving themselves, their mindset, and their business. Kate was looking for an associate photographer when she learned of my name, and that’s where our story begins.

We quickly learned that we share very similar values and vision in our photography businesses - we serve our people unequivocally and love rules all. The more and more we worked together, the more collaborative and creative we found ourselves to become. There is so much beauty in community over competition (another value we both hold near and dear). We learn from each other (mostly me from Kate lol), we balance one another (Kate = planner, me = go with the flow lol), and we don’t have to do this crazy thing called entrepreneurship alone. A few beers in, our families supported us wholeheartedly and it wasn’t long before we had big KLEM plans in motion. While it was bittersweet for me to leave my personal photography business behind, it was divine to allow our paths to cross. Not long after we visualized KLEM’s future, I felt compelled to leave my corporate job and do the damn thing with Kate!

As we venture into co-ownership, we are holding abundant space for expansion (and learning, of course). We are striving to expand in a number of ways - consistently offer family photography (my specialty), expand our reach to the greater Fox Valley Area, expand our availability, quality, and consistency for couples and elopements, expand the soulful business owners we work with on branding photography, and the list goes on. You may notice Kate getting to spend more time with KLEM + Co., as I focus on KLEM Studios. We will have a collaborative partnership among the sister brands - a sharing of talent, ideas, and minds. More than anything, we are here for you and yours.

We’re dreaming up big things and can’t wait to share them with you.

Excitedly,

Kim (& Kate from Alaska)
