Jen and Tanner celebrated their wedding at the Alpine Resort in Egg Harbor in Door County, Wisconsin. This enchanting summer wedding was full of heartfelt moments, Top Gun-inspired charm, and the natural beauty that Door County is known for.

Jen and Tanner's summer wedding at the Alpine Resort in Egg Harbor was nothing short of magical. They put so much thought and care into their planning and were well supported by the incredible team at Door County Event Planners to make their vision come to life. Alpine Resort is one of our favorite Door County wedding venues because it’s picturesque and incredibly convenient. The wedding party and guests can stay right on-site, making getting ready (and finding your way home after the wedding) a breeze.

Getting Ready

As the sun sparkled through the trees on this early June day, Jen and Tanner were brimming with excitement. Each of them got ready with their wedding party in the cabins on-site at Alpine Resort. Jen, donning a stunning Morilee wedding dress, looked absolutely radiant. Meanwhile, Tanner and his groomsmen, stationed in a cabin nearby, enjoyed some pre-wedding banter and cold beers. The groomsmen sported specialty watches and aviators, a playful nod to Top Gun, a favorite movie of the group.

First Looks

The anticipation built as Jen and Tanner exchanged heartwarming first looks with the special people in their lives. Jen shared a sweet reveal with her bridesmaids and an emotional first look with her father. Finally, Jen and Tanner shared their own first look. Tanner waited for Jen to tap him on the shoulder (well, she gave him a little butt squeeze instead!) and turned around to find his glowing bride. We love a First Look because these intimate moments not only calm nerves but also create a beautiful narrative leading up to the ceremony.

Couples Portraits + Wedding Party Photos

The couple explored the Alpine Resort's recently renovated property with us for some pre-ceremony couple's portraits. It was important to Jen and Tanner that they got to mingle with their guests during cocktail hour, so we structured their wedding day timeline so that most of their formal photos would take place before the ceremony. The bridesmaids in their champagne-colored silk dresses and the groomsmen in their navy suits complemented the overall luxurious vibe. Stunning florals from Flora Flower Shop made up the perfect ceremony backdrop. The bridesmaids held all-white bouquets, and the ceremony arch was bursting with brightly colored blooms and greenery.

A Ceremony by the Water

The short and sweet ceremony was held on the shores of the bay with their loved ones surrounding Jen and Tanner. After some stress-free family photos, Jen and Tanner were able to fulfill their wish of capturing memories on Jen’s family's boat—a special touch that added to the personalization of their day.

The Reception

Jen and Tanner made their wedding day their own in many ways, including the Top Gun-themed signature cocktails that were served up to guests. The couple, who initially met at a bar, brought people together from across the country to share in their joy. The reception under the sail tent, one of our favorite reception spots in Door County, provided stunning views of the sunset over the water.

We snuck Jen and Tanner up to one of the golf course greens high on a hill overlooking the water for a few sunset photos. The hazy backdrop, courtesy of the Canadian wildfires, added a touch of mystery to the on the 18th hole of the L Pines Golf Course. The evening continued with heartwarming dances, delightful pies featuring Door County's local fruit harvest, and a packed dance floor.
