Stephanie + Alex’s Spring Wedding in Green Bay, Wisconsin

On the warmest spring day, Stephanie and Alex‘s closest family and friends gathered at St. John’s Church to witness them say I do. The sun shone brightly, filling the church with light. Before the ceremony, Stephanie and Alex shared a moment holding hands around the corner so that they wouldn’t see each other but would still be able to feel one another.

They hand  wrote letters to one another filled with sweet words of love and happiness. Both her eyes filled with tears, and Alex was especially touched as he opened Stephanie‘s gift of a small pin with photos of his grandparents who’ve passed. It was pinned inside his jacket so it would sit right next to his heart, they would be with him the whole day. Stephanie was an absolute beauty in her Oleg Cassini tool wedding dress as she was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents. They hugged her warmly as they handed her off to Alex. He couldn’t stop beaming as he lead Stephanie up the stairs to the altar. Their pastor gave a funny, meaningful, and very personal homily that highlighted the importance of two souls being complementary for one another. As Alex and Stephanie were announced husband and wife and shared a beautiful kiss, their wedding party and guests cheered.

Stephanie and Alex whisked their wedding party away to Green Bay Botanical Garden for their portrait session. The tulips were in full bloom and the air smelled so sweetly of blossoming flowers. The newlyweds could not have chosen better people to surround themselves with as their wedding party and support system. They say that we are the summation of the people we surround ourselves with, and Stephanie and Alex truly picked some incredible friends with hearts of gold. So much laughter and so many warm hugs were shared as the wedding party celebrated two of their favorite people. As Stephanie and Alex snuck away from the group to have some quiet time as husband and wife in the Gardens, they snuggled up together under the shade of a crabapple tree and kissed each other sweetly. These two are such a beautiful pair, and they constantly remind each other how much they love one another. They make each other laugh, they share intelligent conversations, and they have big dreams for the future. They strive to make those around them feel welcome and wanted.

At their reception, their parents and wedding party gave speeches that shared just how wonderful and amazing these two are. Alex’s best man spoke of how his life would not be nearly the same if Alex hadn’t been in it, and how he knows that he can always count on Alex no matter what. Stephanie’s matron of honor shared how their sisterly bond has grown so much over the years and Stephanie is truly her best friend. Their parents welcomed their new son-in-law and daughter-in-law with open arms, clearly delighted with how their families have grown.

It was an immensely beautiful and personal wedding day that Stephanie and Alex put together. These two have already created a wonderful life together, and anyone who is privileged to know them is sure that the future for Stephanie and Alex is going to be incredible. Here’s to wishing them a lifetime of friendship, happiness, endless love, and many, many fishing adventures :-)

Much love and appreciation,

Kate
