Green Bay Botanical Garden Wedding: Johanna + Aaron Say I Do!

About to step into her wedding dress, the first butterflies of the day washed over Johanna, making the nervous excitement a reality. Johanna and Aaron officially married two months prior in an intimate ceremony on their own, but this day was a whole new experience for both. Johanna was thrilled to be putting on her wedding dress and celebrate her marriage to Aaron with their closest friends and family. Johanna and Aaron shared a brief first look with one another to reveal their outfits. Aaron knew Johanna was going to be stunningly beautiful, but was blown away seeing her, and his warm, loving reaction was a privilege to witness.

The weather was absolutely amazing as Johanna and Aaron’s closest friends and family trickled into the Green Bay Botanical Garden bathed in the beautifully sunny August day. A slight breeze sent the flowers waving around Johanna and Aaron who were enjoying a few quiet moments as husband and wife before the festivities began.

On the lawn and patio of the Cowles Terrace under a white-peaked tent, Johanna and Aaron gave squeals of delight when guests arrived, calling them out by name, delighted to have everyone gathered around them. A delicious pig roast from Renard's Catering filled the tent with a comfy aroma as stories were shared about the wedding party, and how Johanna and Aaron met their wedding party. They had a kissing wheel rather than traditional clinking, and their floral arrangements from Ginger Birch were absolutely stunning with the perfect amount of mismatched blossoms and color that Johanna had envisioned. Monzù Bakery delivered a beautiful dessert arrangement as guests delighted in the lovely day Johanna and Aaron put together.

Loving and kind words were shared from Johanna and Aaron to both their parents and families, expressing their appreciation and how much they love them. Aaron and his mom had fun with their Mother/Son dance, adding a little flair into their steps. SoundFire DJ had interviewed Johanna and Aaron about their love story ahead of time, sharing their journey together, what they love about the other person, and what they would tell each other in that moment. It was such an amorous space that was so moving, and everyone felt how truly moved Johanna and Aaron are by each other, that the emotion rippled through their loving guests. Johanna and Aaron enjoyed their first dance under the open evening sky, savoring the golden hour moments before the sun set on the gardens. They were incredibly connected and emotional during their first dance, it was genuinely breathtaking to watch.

Johanna and Aaron are so effortlessly themselves with one another. Aaron is constantly making Johanna laugh, and Aaron alluded to when Johanna tries to be funny, which makes them both laugh regardless. They are incredibly connected, are each other’s truest supporters, biggest fans, and have a deep, thoughtful bond that will stand the test of time. They are adventurous; love going to new places, trying new things, and that sense of adventure will blossom with a life of love, laughter, friendship, and exploration. Johanna and Aaron, we wish you the best, and we were so grateful to be apart of your day.

Much love and appreciation,

Kate
