An elopement is about the two of you. Period.

An adventure this special calls for detailed planning, spontaneity, and experience (all of which we have in abundance!). We’re adventurers through-and-through, and our favorite adventures involve photographing amazing couples in incredible spaces. Your elopement offers you the chance to make your wedding day anything and everything you want it to be. Your path to finding this amazing person to spend your life with has been an unbelievably unique adventure, and your wedding day is a huge milestone along that journey. We’re here to share our wealth of adventure and travel knowledge, authentically document your wedding day, and watch as you two fall even more deeply in love. Your love is wild, epic, and knows no limits…

Your elopement photography should be that way, too.

Hold up…what does “elope” mean (to KLEM Studios, at least)?

E•lope (verb): To curate an intimate wedding day experience that focuses on the two of you and sets your adventurous souls on fire.

What It’s Like To Work With Us:

  1. GET PUMPED UP!

You’re planning something incredible, and we’re going to give it our best 500% of the way.

  2. INQUIRE using our Contact Form

We’ll get back to you within 24 hours with more information and to set up a time to chat! During your consultation, we’ll talk about locations you’re considering, things to keep in mind for that spot/season, as well as other logistics like getting there, safety, a recommended timeline, and of course a custom quote.

  3. CONSULT + CONTRACT

After our consultation, we’ll set up your contract. You’ll have 48 hours to sign your contract and secure payment. Your elopement is officially on the books and now the fun begins!

  4. PLANNING + CURATION

We are going to do a ton of research and share all of our knowledge to make sure you’re well-informed about your elopement location, what you’ll need, and loads of other tips. During the planning stages, we’ll carefully curate an elopement experience that brings your vision to life. Sunrise photos? Heck yes! Five mile hike to an epic location? Let’s do it! We’ll also create a custom elopement day photography timeline for you that matches the experience you’re looking for, includes room for flexibility in case any weather or other bumps come up, and share it with your other vendors as applicable so your whole team is on the same page.

  5. YOU TWO GET MARRIED!!!!

It’s gonna be so freaking epic, y’all, just wait.

  6. PHOTO GALLERY + PRODUCTS

Two-three weeks after your wedding, your carefully edited images will be ready for viewing. If it works with your schedule, we’ll meet virtually to view them all, pick your favorites, and select the products you’ll display your elopement photos on. Once ordered, your products will then arrive on your doorstep within two-three weeks. Product credits are included with most elopement packages!

  7. CHEERS!

We stay friends, hopefully capture more memories together, and probably hike together/soak in a hot spring/drink together/etc. again.

Why eloping matters:

We may not have met yet, but let’s see if we can guess some truths about you…

Travel and adventure are in your souls, and you want to create a wedding journey that reflects that. You don’t mind getting a little dirt/mud/sand/water on your dress for the adventure of a lifetime. You know that your relationship has changed your life and you feel like no one else can love another human being like you two love each other, and you want to create an experience that is truly about the two of you and what you want for your wedding day. This isn’t selfish or thoughtless or “wrong” if you want your wedding day to authentically represent everything that your relationship is about rather than create an event for the masses. In fact, this is the most selfless thing you can do because you are honoring who you are at your core and what your soul wants to experience. Maybe a big, “traditional” wedding just doesn’t feel right, or maybe there are other circumstances that make a traditional wedding seem impossible. No matter what, you want to be relaxed, so in love, and completely at peace on your wedding day, rather than caught up in outside opinions. Better yet, you want epic photographs that will stand the test of time and awe you every single day when you see them.

How’d we do with our guessing game?

We would like to extend our everlasting gratitude to Kate for being such an essential part of our very special day. We cannot thank her enough for being the best person/company we have EVER worked with, and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Kate has really accomplished something special in all the photography she provided us with. Not only did she capture all the emotions of what it means to celebrate love, but also what it means to be ALIVE.
