Olivia + Laura’s Summer Engagement Session | Fonferek’s Glen, Wisconsin
After a rainy morning, Olivia and Laura started their engagement session with KLEM Studios. Olivia and Laura knew they wanted to have their engagement photos taken in an outdoor space that had a wonderful water feature. I suggested the ever-beautiful Fonferek’s Glen just on the outskirts of Green Bay. The park has fields, a lovely waterfall, a creek that runs through it, and it’s a picturesque place to explore, especially on a warm sunny day.
Olivia and Laura happened to pick the very first day of Pride Month for their engagement session. We were so happy to celebrate their love and freedom to love one another. The sun began poking through the clouds and gave way to a beautiful warm and glowing late afternoon. Olivia and Laura started their engagement session in the outfits they were wearing when they first met, bringing everything full circle. They had both of their engagement rings with them, and Laura brought her mom along to help with the outfit changes and to hangout. Having Laura’s mom come with was lovely, because I love when families get involved even before the wedding day.
Olivia and Laura laugh very easily; they are very affectionate with one another. They were also so adventurous and up for anything. They definitely leaned into just embracing one another and reflecting back on their relationship, including what brought them to this point today, and how grateful they are for one another. Because it was so important for Olivia and Laura to have some water features, I asked them if they were up for crossing the creek and standing near the waterfall. As it had just rained, the creek was running pretty quickly, but I practically hadn’t finished the suggestion before both Olivia and Laura were taking off their socks and shoes so they could walk across.
We are so thrilled and excited for their summer wedding! These two are absolutely smitten with one another. It is clear they are meant to be. Olivia and Laura are supportive of each other, each other’s rock, and soul mate. It’s such an honor and privilege to witness love like that and be the one to document their journey.
